The latest I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker Trial Downing Creek sees new arrivals Kezia Dugdale and Iain Lee scrabble around in fish guts, worms and frogs.

The political- themed task challenged the contestants to work their way through boxes named after prominent politicians that were filled with insects and animals.

In scenes to be aired in Thursday’s show, Dugdale can be seen frantically searching for a yellow star inside a box dubbed ‘Sickola Sturgeon’ after her former political rival First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

The Scottish MP struggled to find the object amongst the raw meat and fish guts, but her fellow camp newbie Lee fared better, racing ahead through boxes called Margaret Scratcher and Theresa Dismay.

Hosts Ant and Dec encouraged the rest of the contestants who were watching Lee and Dugdale navigate the task to cheer the politician on.

“I think Kez needs some encouragement here guys,” said McPartlin.

Dugdale and Lee made their entrance to the jungle in Wednesday’s episode of the show, after much controversy surrounding her appearance on the show from members of parliament.

Despite winning the support of Sturgeon and even Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, Dugdale attracted criticism among fellow Scottish MPs, with MSP Neil Findlay describing the decision as ‘utterly ludicrous’.

The new campmates arrival comes as member of the original line-up Jack Maynard was removed from the ITV show amid the resurfacing of a series of offensive tweets as well as reports the YouTube star had sent ‘inappropriate messages’ to a teenage girl.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here continues on Thursday, November 23 at 9pm on ITV.
