An M&S Foodhall has reopened at London Bridge Station following an extensive refit, with a brand new in-house bakery. Staff and managers gathered at the entrance of the store on the Upper Concourse of London Bridge Station on Thursday morning, and were joined by special guest Percy Pig to cut the ribbon and declare the store officially re-open.

The new bakery serves a selection of pastries, while travellers can purchase a wide range of sandwiches, salads, snacks and drinks from the newly fitted store.

The Upper Concourse store is one of five M&S Food and travel partner SSP London station locations being transformed over the next year, including Liverpool Street, which re-opened in July, Cannon Street, Charing Cross, Paddington Station and Victoria Station – one of SSP’s flagship locations.

Kari Daniels, CEO of SSP UK & Ireland, said: "It’s fantastic to welcome customers back into store today. It looks and feels completely different after the transformation and we’re sure the investment we’re making to upgrade key stores across the capital will provide customers with a much-improved shopping experience."

M&S also has another shop at London Bridge Station, located in the Western Arcade.
