After weeks of renovation works the Mark's and Spencer store in West Bridgford has reopened with a brand new look. The store in Albert Road reopened on Thursday, November 28 more than a month after it closed on Saturday, October 19.

The store had been expected to open on Wednesday, November 27, but an extra day was needed to make sure everything was up to scratch. Shoppers have been thrilled with the store's transformation, which includes a new market-style food hall.

There is also a bakery with a range of fresh pastries and breads, including the retailer's popular Collections Sourdough, where each load is made through a 30-hour process. There are also takeaway hot drinks available, including barista-made coffee.

The location also has a flower shop and wine shop, as well as a click and collect point for online orders. Store manager, Martin Kirkpatrick, officially declared the store as open and was joined by special guest Percy Pig for the ribbon cutting.

Martin, who has been at M&S for 17 years, said: "We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome the West Bridgford community back to their newly transformed M&S store. From the stunning fresh bakery to our revamped flower and wine shops, every detail has been designed with our customers in mind, ensuring we deliver the quality and value they expect from M&S.

"It’s been fantastic to see the excitement and energy on opening day, and we’re especially proud to offer a shopping experience that combines convenience, innovation, and the very best of M&S. We’re looking forward to welcome shoppers, both regular and new, to the new store.”

The store has also reopened in time for customers to make the most of its festive offerings, with shoppers now able to stock up on the magical Christmas good line up, such as the build your own Charcuter-Tree and the recently launched Choc Marks bars.
