'I’m Sorry You Didn’t Make It Home': Violinist Plays Tribute to Sarah Everard

A violinist played by candlelight on a London street on March 13 in a moving tribute to Sarah Everard.

In this video posted to Twitter, Steph McCabe plays Goin’ Home, the song by William Arms Fisher adapted from a theme from Dvorak’s New World Symphony. “Rest in Peace, Sarah. I’m sorry you didn’t make it home,” she captioned the post.

People gathered in London on Saturday to remember Sarah Everard, who was last seen walking home in London on March 3. Police in the UK confirmed on Friday that remains found in a Kent woodland were those of Everard.

On Sunday, demonstrators poured into Parliament Square to protest against the London Metropolitan Police’s handling of the vigil held the previous night.
