Rents in the 'Burbs Outpacing Urban Rents: Should You Invest?

New data from rental platform Zumper shows that renters are playing a role in this mass exodus, too. According to Zumper's data for April 2021, suburban areas saw rent growth outpace that of urban centers by 5% to 6%, while rural ones were more like 7%. In counties that house major cities -- Orlando, Miami, Gainesville, etc. -- rents have actually decreased over the year.
