Starved for time and privacy, India’s women are finding refuge in podcasts

In March 2020, when Covid-19 was about to explode in India, Women in Labor had just wrapped. The English language comedy podcast, which addresses the issue of Indian women leaving the workforce, had just finished taping its first season. A podcast about the female workforce in India couldn’t really ignore the impact Covid-19 was having on women’s work, and the heightened set of domestic demands to which women were going to have to respond through the crisis.
