Two of the COVID-19 vaccines that have received U.S. emergency use authorization (EUA) use messenger RNA (mRNA) technology. Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) and BioNTech (NASDAQ: BNTX) became the first companies to win authorization for an mRNA vaccine.
