Drivers are facing disruption at an M25 junction for three upcoming weekends. Junction 10 will need to be navigated differently, officials warn, as motorists will not be able to leave or join London's orbital motorway there.

Possible alternative roads have been listed. Drivers have also been urged to 'think about' what other routes they would be able to take.

A spokesperson for National Highways said: "Drivers will need to the use junction 10 of the M25 differently for two weekends in October and one at the start of November. While the A3 and the M25 will both be open, the slip roads off and on the junction won’t be. This means you won’t be able to leave or join the M25 or the A3 at junction 10."

National Highways says slip roads on and off Junction 10 will be closed on:

  • October 4-7

  • October 18-21

  • November 1-4

The spokesperson for National Highways added: "Please think about how this will affect your journeys and what alternative routes you should take. This may include using the M3, M23 or A24 to get on to the M25."

It comes after the link road connecting the M4 eastbound to the M25 southbound (anticlockwise towards the M3, M23 and M20) was closed from 11pm on Friday, September 13, until 5.30am on Monday, September 16. Officials said this was to enable 'essential' work to replace a bridge expansion joint to be carried out safely.

Due to its close proximity, the eastbound entry slip road at the M4 Junction 5 Langley Interchange was also closed over the same period 'for safety'.
