M6 at 'standstill' over unsafe tree amid Storm Eowyn chaos
M6 Northbound in Lancashire is currently at a 'standstill' over chaos from strong winds amid Storm Eowyn.
Two lanes are closed and there is queuing traffic due to an unsafe tree on the M6 Northbound from J33 A6 Preston Lancaster Road (Lancaster South/Garstang) to J34 A683 (Lancaster).
Lancashire Police have closed the section of the road to assist highways in ensuring it's safe. The emergency services will also ensure other roadside trees are safe to pass and are stable.
