Madonna wants Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to sublet her NYC apartment

Madonna has the perfect digs in mind for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, now that they’ve taken a “step back” from the monarchy, including moving off the royal family’s property.

She’s offered the couple her own $7.3 million, about £5.5 million, place in New York City.

“Hey, Harry, don’t run off to Canada. It’s so boring there,” the Vogue singer said in a video she shared Tuesday on Instagram. “I’ll let them sublet my apartment on Central Park West.”

Madonna teased that her apartment has two bedrooms, “the best view of Manhattan” and “an incredible balcony.” She summed it up by saying, “No, Buckingham Palace has got nothing on CPW.”

Although Madonna had a solid argument for her place, Page Six reports that the rules her building has about subletting require “prior written approval from the board of directors,” among other restrictions.

The preference is that the shareholder —in this case, Madonna —occupy her own unit.

The star lost a court case about this very sticking point — whether she needs to be physically present when anyone, including her children or staff members, are in her apartment — in November 2018, per the news outlet.

Anyway, Madonna appeared to be joking about her offer, which she tossed out casually while sitting in front of the mirror and getting her hair styled.

For their part, Harry and Meghan are reportedly residing in Victoria, British Columbia, and considering spending at least part of the summer in Los Angeles, according to E! News.
