Married At First Sight Australia star Alyssa Bermonde has opened up about her unintentional catchphrase that became a prominent part of season 10.
While coupled up with groom Duncan James on the hit reality show, Alyssa regularly spoke about the challenges she experiences as the single mother of a toddler.
Viewers noticed she often referred to her young son as "my child" and even broke down in tears during one commitment ceremony, declaring, "I have a child" before storming off.
Reflecting on her turbulent time on the show, Alyssa's now shed some light on the unusual catchphrase.

Taking to Instagram for a Q&A session with her followers, Alyssa shared some behind-the-scenes details with MAFS fans.
After being quizzed about regularly saying "my child" throughout the season, Alyssa explained she was careful to never mention her son's name on camera in a bid to protect his privacy.
However, since leaving the reality show, Alyssa has taken the accidental catchphrase in her stride as she's launched her very own "I have a child" merchandise range.

During her Instagram Q&A, Alyssa went on to detail the struggles of navigating the dating world as a single parent.
"When you have a child and you are not ready, for me at least, to introduce that child to your new partner, you have limited time and you have different priorities," she remarked.
"Your time is definitely limited when you are a single parent and when you're dating and it is one of the hardest things ever because sometimes it just doesn't align and that’s just how it is."
Despite making it all the way to her final vows ceremony, sadly Alyssa wasn’t able to find love on Married At First Sight as Duncan decided not to move forward with the relationship outside of the experiment.
