MAFS star Alyssa says her wedding was "cut short" by medical emergency
Married at First Sight Australia star Alyssa Barmonde has revealed that there was a medical emergency during the filming of her wedding on the show that cut events "short".
The star was paired with Duncan James on the most-recent series of the reality show, which aired earlier this year – though it wasn't meant to be in the end, as the couple decided not to stay together when it came to the final decision.
Appearing on fellow season 10 star Tahnee Cook's podcast Chuffed, Alyssa opened up a bit about her big day on the show, recalling one incident that proved so serious an ambulance had to be called.

"There was a medical incident that happened on set at our wedding," she explained. "So the ambulance had to be called and we had to all be separated. So I was literally inside this giant house separated from literally everyone for like three hours. So our wedding actually got cut short."
The star went on to reveal that they "only had an hour to do the whole reception", and thus "had no time".
It comes after Alyssa called out Duncan on the Back to Reality podcast for not standing up for her when she was branded a villain by viewers.

"He never once stood up for me publicly," she said. "I was receiving harassment, death threats, terrible messages, people were finding my mobile number."
Alyssa went on to reveal: "I had to shut down my business because it was getting trolled. All it would have taken is for him to say: 'Stop bullying Alyssa, She doesn't deserve it'. But he didn't."
Digital Spy has reached out to Duncan's rep for comment.
