MAFS UK confirms first transgender bride in 2023 cast
Married at First Sight UK has made history with the recent announcement of its brand new cast as this year's lineup features the show's first-ever trans contestant.
Ella, a 29-year-old clinic consultant from Weston-Super-Mare, will be joining the show alongside a host of other brides looking to be matched up with their perfect partner.
Speaking about the show, Ella said: "This experiment is so much more than just me getting married. I see this as a big deal for someone who has transitioned."

Ella is described as a "a blonde bombshell with a sense of humour and heart of gold". She lives with her Nan, who is the closest person to her in her life. Describing their strong bond, she said they were "the dynamic duo everyone needs in their life".
This is another step forward in Married at First Sight's increasing efforts to be more diverse. Previously, Matt Jameson and Daniel McKee made history as the show's first-ever gay couple.
Sadly, however, Matt and Daniel later confirmed that they had split up dispite previously sharing plans for a "real wedding".

Married at First Sight UK recently teased the upcoming series with a clip featuring relationship expert Paul C. Brunson.
In the clip, Brunson revealed to fans that the new season would be "coming soon" and teased a change in format as well as an "explosive" new series.
Married at First Sight UK airs on E4 in the UK. Married at First Sight Australia airs on Nine Network in Australia and E4 in the UK.
