Magnum PI has added one of the stars of Netflix's Never Have I Ever to its cast for the recently premiered season 4.
Deadline has reported that Martin Martinez, who played Eleanor's boyfriend Oliver in the Netflix series, has been cast in a recurring role, meaning he'll be popping up throughout the current season.
His character Cade Jensen is a troubled teenager who tries to get a job at La Mariana, and will eventually find a surrogate parent in Stephen Hill's character TC as the episodes go on.
Responding to the news of his casting, Martinez shared the casting announcement on his Instagram and wrote: "My heart is full!"
Outside of Magnum PI and Never Have I Ever, Martinez has also starred in Marvel's Runaways as Bodhi, the American version of Shameless as Jamie, in an episode of Grey's Anatomy spin-off Station 19, and has also popped up in The Fosters and Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.
Never Have I Ever has aired two seasons on Netflix already and is due to return for a third. Following the end of the second season, we have a lot of questions about various plotlines and where they could go in season 3.
Will Devi and Paxton go the distance? Will she be able to manage her emotions and her grief? Are Nalini and Dr Chris Jackson really over? Will Kamala be able to balance her career with romance? How about Fabiola and Eve? Eleanor and Trent? We need to know, Netflix!
Magnum PI is airing new season 4 episodes on Friday nights on CBS in the US, while in the UK it is available via NOW and airs on Sky Showcase. You can also buy seasons 1-3 on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
