Major A47 delays in Cambridgeshire as crash causes traffic queues

A crash on the A47 in Cambridgeshire caused queues for around two hours on Saturday (January 25). The incident at Thorney Toll took place before 10.50am and the road was cleared by 12.50am.

Drivers were warned to avoid the area. A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson commented just before 11am: "Please be aware there has been an RTC at A47 Thorney Toll, which is causing traffic to build up in both directions. Please avoid the area and find an alternative route."

Traffic monitoring company Inrix reported the crash at about 10.50am on Saturday (January 25), stating that the road was partially blocked in both directions, traffic was queuing near the scene of the incident, and that the crash took place near Route 47 restaurant. Inrix reported that the road was cleared before 12.50am.
