Major change for Nuneaton Dairycrest site set to bring more jobs
Nuneaton's Dairycrest site is set to transform its warehouse into a factory. As a result, changes have to be made to what is officially known as the Saputo site in Walsingham Drive.
This includes bringing extra parking as the transformed facility will bring more staff to the firm. The plan is to provide extra parking in place of the current lorry parking, which is set to be made redundant.
A new canopy extension will also be added to the site. Planning permission has already been granted but before these changes can be made, a number of conditions have to be met.

These include details about traffic management, the construction plan and an overall site plan. Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council will have to approve removing the conditions.
If approved, then the works can start. According to the application, the approved proposals are: "Change of use of main building from Warehouse (Use Class B8) to Manufacturing Facility (Use Class B2). To facilitate this change of use a plant room and canopy extension are proposed allowing for additional equipment.
"As the proposed change of use is from Warehouse to Manufacturing the number of staff on site will increase therefore additional parking is proposed, in place of lorry parking which will become redundant."
