Major emergency response to house fire in village centre as road closed
Five fire engines were called to a property blaze in a Flintshire village yesterday evening. The fire service was called to the High Street in Bagillt and the road was closed.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a fire at a property on High Street, Bagillt at 6.15pm last night. At the height of the incident, four crews, our aerial ladder platform and the incident command init were in attendance.
"Crews were in attendance until just after 7am this morning, and they will reattend later this morning. The cause of the fire will be under investigation later today."

Yesterday evening the police and fire service urged people to stay away from the area. A fire service statement said: "We are currently in attendance at a building fire in the High Street area of Bagillt. Please avoid the area whilst emergency services deal with the incident"
A North Wales Police statement added: "Please be aware that the High Street in Bagillt is currently closed due to an ongoing incident not far from The Feathers public house. Avoid the area for the time being - there will be a notification when the road is back open. Thank you for your co-operation."
