Major hit-and-run in Walsall as four struck by car

Four people were struck by a car in a hit-and-run crash in Walsall. The serious collision happened in Prince Street just before 5pm on Friday, July 5.

Two of the four people were rushed to hospital. One of the crash victims was left in a serious condition.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident after the driver of the car left the scene. Prince Street and nearby Wednesbury Road were closed for several hours yesterday following the crash.

Both roads reopened late last night. A West Midlands Police spokesperson told BirminghamLive: "We're investigating after four people were hit by a car in Prince Street, Walsall, at just before 5pm today (5 July).

"Two have been taken to hospital, one in a serious condition. The driver left the scene.
