Major route into Southampton to be reduced to single file traffic as works commence

A MAJOR route into Southampton will be reduced to single file traffic to allow for works.

City council contractors will be upgrading the traffic light signals on Thomas Lewis Way at the junction with Bevois Hill.

Work starts on Wednesday January 26 and is expected to last for one night between 8pm and 6am.

The road, which sees thousands of cars each day, will be reduced to single file traffic, controlled by sets of temporary signals.
