Finger fight: Artist's stunning animation shows hand-drawn warrior scrapping with human hand

Jonny Lawrence's 'Maker vs Marker' artwork shows a computer game-style warrior unleashing fireballs against a human hand.

A talented artist has created a stunning animation of a deadly martial fighter in a battle to the finish - against a human hand.

Jonny Lawrence's 'Maker vs Marker' artwork shows a computer game-style warrior unleashing fireballs against a hand.

The intricate animation shows a finger figure posing as a fire-breathing monster, shooting flames at the hand-drawn fighter.

Jonny's creation shows the hand-drawn character - loosely based on Akuma from the Street Fighter series - appearing to claim victory at the end of the sequence.

Jonny, 24, a designer from Kent, told Yahoo!: 'I've always loved the idea of interacting with the drawings you can give life to as an animator.

'I had already made one before called 'The Marker Maker' but as I wanted to create another, I took an evening of my time to think what else I could do with my hand to interact and it led to this fighting animation you see today.'

Jonny's animation took four months from 'idea to creation'.
