Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz has announced the birth of his first child with wife Paige. Congratulations, both!

(And commiserations to anyone reading this who now feels old.)

Frankie shared the happy news with followers on Instagram. The actor, who played Malcolm in the classic '00s series, uploaded a video of him cradling his newborn son on Instagram Stories, telling the world that he was now a dad.

Fans are yet to see a glimpse of Frankie and Paige's first child together, or find out his name, but it's clear the couple are in a love bubble.

"I love my baby so much," Frankie wrote in his post. "And I love my wife more than ever!"

The couple, who got married in February of last year, previously opened up about the "real-life miracle" of falling pregnant when they first revealed their happy news.

"We felt like we were living and experiencing a real-life miracle for the first time. The second I heard that heartbeat, reality set in. I was throwing out baby names and future career choices," Frankie said in a YouTube video at the time.

Paige added: "When we found out we were expecting, I think we both were in a state of disbelief. We knew that we wanted this but we were told that our chances are not that great.

"The struggle of going to to every doctor's appointment made me feel less and less like a woman. I'm excited to say we've beat the odds".
