Ten years after the smash-hit musical Mamma Mia was released, our favourite all-singing, all-dancing cast is set to grace our screens once more with Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.

When the first film was released in 2008, it collected a massive $615 million at the box office so the follow-up film has a tough act to follow.

Abba fans are certainly in for a treat. The film is set to work as a part-prequel, part-sequel, following Sophie as she confides in Donna about her pregnancy struggles while flashing back to the trials and tribulations of Donna's own pregnancy.

If you're as excited as we are, read on to find out everything you need to know about the cast, the UK release date, trailer and more:

Who from the original cast will be in the sequel and who are the new cast members?

Several Mamma Mia cast members will be reprising their roles for the sequel.

Amanda Seyfried, 32, and Dominic Cooper, 40, will return as lovebirds Sophie and Sky while Colin Firth, 57, and Pierce Brosnan, 65, will make their musical comebacks as Sophie's 'possible' Dads, Sam and Harry.

Also rejoining the cast will be Julie Walters, 68, as Rosie and Christine Baranski, 66, as Tanya.

Pleasing Mamma Mia fans both old and new, the film will also feature some fresh faces. Downton Abbey star Lily James, 29, will play a younger Donna and legendary US singer Cher, 72, will play her mother.

Other new additions include Jeremy Irvine as a younger Sam, Josh Dylan as a younger Bill and Hugh Skinner as younger Harry, Jessica Keenan Wynn as a younger Tanya and Alexa Davies as a younger Rosie.

Will Meryl Streep be in the sequel?

Eagle-eyed fans went into a frenzy after they noticed no new clips Meryl Streep featured in the trailers, sparking rumours that the 69-year-old actress would not be returning to her role as unlucky-in-love, Donna.

But Streep attended the film's premiere at London's Hammersmith Apollo, assuring fans that she would be featuring in the film after all.

However, it's not yet known how much Streep will feature in the sequel.

When will it be released in UK cinemas?

The film will be released on Friday, 20 July, 2018, coincidentally within days of the original film's 10th anniversary - just in case you needed another reason to celebrate.

Is there a trailer?

Yes - fans were spoilt for choice with four teaser trailers being released ahead of the big day.

The official trailer was then released, which is sure to get even the most sombre of people tapping their feet to the tune of "Waterloo."
