A man has been charged with the murder of a 30-year-old stabbed to death on a busy street in broad daylight in north London.

Reece Williams is accused of the murder of Marcel Campbell who died in Upper Street, Islington, at around 6.30pm on Monday.

The 22-year-old will appear at Haringey Magistrates' Court on Monday, Scotland Yard said as investigators renewed their appeal for information.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams said: "This was a brutal attack that was carried out on a busy street in broad daylight. I am asking anyone who saw the assault or has any information to contact detectives.

"In particular we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around this time, who may have filmed any part of the incident on their phones or has dash-cam footage of the incident.

"Your information could be vital in helping us establish the course of events that unfolded during the early evening of the 21 May and what caused a young man to lose his life."
