Man, 24, charged after £15,000 of cannabis discovered in Huntly property

Police have arrested and charged a 24-year-old man in connection with drugs offences after a raid in Huntly.

Officers carried out a search warrant on an address in the Bleachfield Street area of the town at around 3pm on Monday, November 11.

A quantity of cannabis with an estimated street value of around £15,000 was recovered during the search.

Police released the man on an undertaking and he is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Constable Robyn McKay said: "Recoveries such as this highlight our determination to protect the public from this type of harmful criminality and make communities safer.
