Man, 26, arrested after East Kilbride woman found dead in flat

A 26-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was found dead at a flat in East Kilbride.

Officers were called to the incident on Glen Lee just after noon on Monday (November 18) following reports of a death.

Police arrested a 26-year-old man in connection and an investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

The force said there is no wider risk to the public.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland told The Sun : "Around 12.10pm on Monday, November 18, we were called to the death of a woman at a flat on Glen Lee in East Kilbride.

“A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident and enquiries are ongoing.

“Officers remain at the scene however there is no wider risk to the public.”
