Man, 28, who died after being hit by car in North London named
A man has been killed after he was struck by a car in North London. Dickson Achiu, a 28-year-old pedestrian, died after a collision with a car on the A406 near Meridian Way in Edmonton just after 4:30am on October 27.
Police officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance raced to the scene, but despite the best efforts of the emergency services Mr Achiu was pronounced dead at the scene. The force says his next of kin have been informed.
The car stopped at the scene and the driver is assisting police with enquiries – but there has been no arrest. The Met Police are now appealing for any witnesses.

A spokesperson said: "Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who was travelling on the A406 near Meridian Way at the time of the incident and may have captured events on dash cam to get in contact."
