Man, 31, dies after pub brawl in Cambridge

A man has died after a brawl outside a pub in Cambridge.

Christopher Frost, 31, was assaulted outside The Brook pub, near the city centre, on Friday night.

Police were called to reports of violence outside the pub and Mr Frost was taken to hospital.

But Mr Frost, from the village of Lode in Cambridgeshire, died of his injuries on Saturday night.

Dennis Hurworth, 31, of Nuns Way, Cambridge, has been charged with manslaughter.

He will appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Mr Frost’s family said in a statement: “The loss felt throughout our family is impossible to describe. We're devastated by the loss of our beloved Chris.

“We would like to thank and commend both the police, and the staff at Addenbrooke's Hospital for their incredible support and care.”
