Man, 35, hit by bus in Leeds city centre - police need to speak to Cleckheaton passengers
A 36-year-old man has suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a bus in Leeds.
The man was riding an electric bike along Whitehall Road, heading into the city centre, at 3.25pm on Wednesday, January 29, when he was hit by a double-decker bus. He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Now, West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses - particularly anyone who was a passenger of the number 229 bus service travelling to Leeds city centre from Heckmondwike.

A force spokesperson said: “The rider, a 36-year-old man, sustained serious head injuries and remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
“Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing, and officers from the Roads Policing Unit are keen to speak to any witnesses, particularly anyone who was a passenger of the bus which was a number 229 service travelling to Leeds city centre from Heckmondwike.”
