Man in his 40s assaulted by stranger in Folkestone
A man in his 40s has been assaulted by a stranger in Folkestone. Now witnesses are sought by police investigating the assault.
Shortly after 6am on Tuesday (November 12), the man was assaulted by an unknown man at the top of the steps between Foord Road South and Grace Hill, near the roundabout with Foresters Way. Police and paramedics attended and the victim was found to have suffered a head injury which required hospital treatment.
An investigation is ongoing and officers are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, to get in touch. The suspect is described as around 5ft 7ins, in his early to mid 30s, white, of slim build, with short dark hair and a beard.

He was wearing a blue tracksuit and is believed to have been seen speaking loudly into a phone shortly before the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/192107/24.
