Man, 76, dies in Ayr after being found injured in town centre

A man has died after being found injured in Ayr town centre.

Emergency services were called to the Garden Street area of the town, near to the TK Maxx carpark, shortly before 6pm on Wednesday, November 13.

A 76-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and police later confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.45pm on Wednesday, November 13, officers were called to Garden Street, Ayr, after a man was found injured.

“The 76-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
