Man, 80, in 'critical condition' after being hit by motorbike when crossing Yorkshire road

A pedestrian is in a life-threatening condition after crossing a road in South Yorkshire.

An 80-year-old man was hit while crossing the road near Leger Way near the junction with School Lane in Doncaster by a KTM 125 Duke 12 motorcycle. The motorist was travelling in convoy with a red Aprilia Tuono 125 motorcycle.

South Yorkshire Police were alerted to the incident before 4.30pm on Monday (25 November).

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are now being described as life-threatening. The rider of the orange motorcycle was also taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said:"We're appealing for information, witnesses and dash-cam footage following a collision involving a motorbike and a pedestrian in Doncaster.

"We would now like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dash-cam footage which could help our investigation."
