Man Admits Anni Dewani Honeymoon Murder

One of the men accused of kidnapping and murdering honeymooner Anni Dewani has pleaded guilty to all charges.

Mziwamadoda Qwabe admitted kidnapping, robbery, murder and possession of unlicensed firearm during a pre trial review at the Western Cape Court.

It is believed he reached a plea bargain agreement with the state prosecution and was sentenced to 25 years in jail.

A second man, Xolile Mngeni, who is suffering from a malignant brain tumour, is due in court this afternoon.

Mrs Dewani, from Sweden, was shot and killed after a taxi she and her husband were travelling in was hijacked in Gugulethu on the outskirts of Cape Town on November 13.

Her husband Shrien Dewani from Bristol, who is fighting extradition to South Africa, is accused of arranging his wife's murder.
