Man who admitted he intended to deal cocaine to be sentenced

A man who admitted - through an Albanian interpreter - that he was intending to deal cocaine after he was found in possession of a large block of the Class A drug, will be sentenced next month.

Appearing from HMP Exeter Mariglen Cunaj, aged aged 22 and of no fixed abode in Plymouth, pleaded guilty at Plymouth Crown Court to the single charge of possession with intent to supply cocaine.

Cunaj was arrested by police on October 29 last year in Crozier Road by officers from Plymouth police's Priority Crime Team. He was found to be in possession of 250.62g of cocaine.

His advocate, Mizan Abdulrouf confirmed the guilty plea was offered on a basis of plea and requested that a sentencing hearing was adjourned until February 5 to allow discussions with the Crown Prosecution Service.

Judge Matthew Turner agreed to the adjournment and remanded Cunaj until that date.
