A man has been arrested after driving a car to his own driving test and then failing for the tenth time.

The motorist was detained on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent (TWOC) at a test centre in Great Barr, Birmingham, at around 11am on Wednesday.

Officers from West Midlands Police’s Force Response unit took to Twitter to describe the man as “stupid”.

The force posted a picture of the white Mitsubishi vehicle the driver had shown up in before officers attended the centre on Birdbrook Road.

The force said: “Welcome to the world of stupid. Male turns up at the driving test centre for his driving test. Having driven himself there unsupervised.
