Man arrested for drug offences and failing to stop after smashing into car
A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences and failing to stop when asked by police after crashing into another car.
The bonnet of a silver Toyota was taken off in the collision with a red Range Rover in the Shawclough area of Rochdale. Greater Manchester Police have said they tried to stop a vehicle, which made off and then collided with another vehicle on Bentley Street.
The incident happened at around 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon (September 15). Police have said no injuries have been reported.

Footage shared on social media show an ambulance was at the scene following the crash. Images reveal that several police vehicles also attended the collision at the junction of Shawclough Road and Bentley Street, around one mile north of Rochdale town centre.
A man in his twenties, who has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences, failing to stop and dangerous driving, remains in police custody for questioning, GMP has said. A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 2.30pm this afternoon (Sunday 15 September 2024), officers on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle, which made off and then collided with another vehicle on Bentley Street, Rochdale.
"No injuries have been reported and the driver that failed to stop - a man in his 20s - was arrested on suspicion of drug offences, failing to stop and dangerous driving.
"He remains in police custody for questioning."
