Man arrested with large knife and weapons in vehicle after police tip-off

A man has been arrested on Anglesey after he was stopped and found to have a large knife and weapons in a vehicle. Police say they were acting on local intelligence and an investigation is underway, reports North Wales Live.

A North Wales Police Anglesey statement said: "On the 25th of May 2024 whilst acting on intelligence received by a member of the public , officers from Rota 3 Holyhead stopped and searched a male travelling in a vehicle and he was found in possession of a large knife and other offensive weapons and subsequently arrested. This investigation is still ongoing."

PC 3973 Roberts of the Rota 3 team in Holyhead added: "We welcome anonymous reports as this gives us an opportunity to act and respond immediately in order to deliver a safer neighbourhood. In line with our force policy , we aim to ensure that North Wales is the safest place to live, work and visit in the UK.
