Man Arrested As Missing Essex Girls Found

A 22-year-old man has been arrested after two Essex teenage girls who went missing on Friday were found safe and well.

The man, from the Southend area, was arrested after Sammy Clarke, 14, and 15-year-old Siobhan Clarke were discovered by officers.

They were found in Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff, near Southend, just after 10am.

The girls, who are from Maldon and are not related, left school early on Friday to meet up with Kieran Hartley-Anderson, 22.

Extensive searches for the trio were carried out in Southend.

A police spokesman said: "We are also no longer searching for Keiran Hartley-Anderson.

"He was also found in Hamlet Court Road.

"A 22-year-old man from the Southend area has been arrested in connection with this incident.

"Many thanks to everyone who shared our appeal."
