Man arrested over murders of a woman and two children at a sleepover in Killamarsh

A 31-year-old man arrested over the murders of a woman, her two children and one of their friends on a sleepover was taken to hospital with stab wounds after his arrest, it emerged today.

The suspect is believed to have been found outside a house in Chandos Crescent, Killamarsh, when cops arrived following safety concerns on Sunday morning.

It is understood the man was bleeding and had 'self inflicted' wounds, witnesses said.

When officers entered the house they found the bodies of 35-year-old Terri Harris alongside her son John Paul Bennett, 13 and daughter Lacey Bennett, 11.

Lacey's best friend, Connie Gent, 11, from Sheffield, was also killed.

The man arrested at the scene was taken to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield for medical treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Cops were seen scouring bins and a nearby park yesterday (Mon) as they tried to piece together the killing.

Terri, John and Lacey are said to have not lived in Killamarsh for long, having moved from Sheffield. Neighbours said they had only lived there for a few months.

More tributes were left at the scene today (Tues) as mourners continued to pay their respects.
