Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following Skelmersdale stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Skelmersdale.

Officers were called to Southway on Saturday (November 9, 2024) at 10.54pm. They found a man in his 20s had suffered multiple stab injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His injures are not thought to be life threatening at this time.

A 56-year-old man from Skelmersdale was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He is currently in police custody.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may assist the police with the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting log 1445 of November 9.
