Man arrested on suspicion of drink driving after teen hit by van
A man was arrested after a 17-year-old boy was hit by a van in Bootle. The incident occurred on Linacre Lane at around 8.20am this morning.
Merseyside Police said the teenager suffered minor injuries, and "was talking but appeared to be in shock" following the collision. He was then taken to hospital. No road closures were put in place.
A spokesman for the force has now confirmed that a 47-year-old man from Irlam was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, and was taken to a police station for questioning.
