Man assaulted in Balloch carpark as police launch manhunt for two suspects

A man was rushed to hospital after being assaulted in a Balloch carpark in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 41-year-old man was attacked at around 3am on Saturday (June 8) on Balloch Road. He was rushed to the Royal Alexandria Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries remains unknown.

Police Scotland is now hunting for two male suspects who made off in an unknown direction after the incident.

The first was wearing all black clothing, including a black hooded jumper and black shoes. The second suspect was wearing a brown top, black shorts, white socks, and white shoes.

Detective Constable Andrew Baldacci of Clydebank CID said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I ask anyone with information to contact us.

“This assault happened in a very busy area and I ask anyone who may have witnessed the assault to come forward.”
