Man on bike hit by Audi at Switch Island

A cyclist was taken to hospital after being hit by a car at Switch Island.

Merseyside Police were called to the scene at around 6.20pm on Saturday (June 1) after it was reported that a male cyclist had been involved in a serious crash with a black Audi on Dunnings Bridge Road, near its junction with Broom’s Cross Road. Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene. A road closure is currently in place at the busy junction and this is causing significant traffic delays in the area.
