Man Who Binge-Watched The Walking Dead ‘Kills Friend He Believed Was A Zombie’

A man who sat through hours of The Walking Dead in one sitting is facing charges of murder after he allegedly killed his friend - who he thought was a zombie.

Police in New Mexico believe Damon Perry beat his friend Christopher Paquin to death after sitting through a marathon session of the hit zombie drama.

Several residents in Albuquerque called the police after seeing a man chasing a woman through an apartment while brandishing a weapon.

When they arrived they apparently found 23-year-old Perry being restrained by two maintenance men.

Paquin’s badly beaten body was found close by and he died soon after.

Perry reportedly told police that watching The Walking Dead was the reason for his actions, claiming his pal tried to bite him and began “to change into a zombie”.

He allegedly beat Paquin with his hands and feet before using an electric guitar and a microwave.

Perry, who admitted to drinking “large amounts of alcohol” with his friend, then rushed out of his apartment and threatened others.

Grants police detective Moses Marquez described the murder as one of the “weirdest and most gruesome” homicides he had ever known.
