Man charged in connection with Middlesbrough assault as alleged victim suffers stab wound to head
A man sustained injuries to his head, including a stab wound, during an incident in Middlesbrough town centre.
A 27-year-old man, Joshua Jacob Yates, of no fixed abode, was due to appear before Teesside Magistrates' Court today charged with grievous bodily harm, assault and assaulting an emergency worker.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place outside a block of flats in the town on Saturday, August 24.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "The charges relate to reports of an assault outside and in the corridor of a block of flats at Central Mews in Middlesbrough shortly before 5.45am on Saturday 24 August.
"A 55-year-old man sustained injuries to his head including a stab wound and was taken to hospital by ambulance."
