Man Charged After Landcruiser Rams Australian Police Vehicle, Flipping It Over

The Western Australia Police Force released footage on May 27 showing an incident in which a police vehicle was rammed and flipped over by what police said was a stolen Toyota Landcruiser. A 31-year-old man has been charged, police said.

The incident happened on Parmango Road, in Condingup, as police prepared to deploy a tire deflation device on May 25, they said.

“It will be alleged the driver caused the stolen vehicle to be driven directly at the parked police vehicle, crossing to the wrong side of the road to directly ram the police vehicle,” police said. “The impact caused the police vehicle to roll onto its roof, and the stolen vehicle crossed back to the correct side of the road and crashed into a tree.”
