Man charged after North Belfast burglaries cause £650,000 worth of damage to business

A man has been charged with causing £650,000 worth of damages during spate of robberies in Belfast.

The accused was arrested over the weekend and faces a total of nine allegations following break-ins at commercial premises in the Duncairn Gardens area of North Belfast.

The business was targeted several times over a three-month period and the extensive damage was apparently caused as a result.

A statement from PSNI North Belfast said: "Castle Neighbourhood Policing Team have charged a male to court with nine counts of burglary, following a series of burglaries at a business premises on Duncairn Gardens over a three-month period, whereby in excess of £650,000 worth of damage had been caused."
