Man charged with two counts of rape

A man is set to appear in court after being charged with rape. David Twigg was charged with two counts of rape after a report a woman was raped at a property in the Halewood area in September.

Twigg, 36, of Markfield Crescent, has been remanded in custody until Friday, December 6. Merseyside police confirmed the charge in a statement on Friday, November 8.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We have charged a 36-year-old man from Halewood with two counts of rape. David Twigg, of Markfield Crescent, was remanded into custody until Friday 6 December. The charges follow a report that a female was raped at a property in the Halewood area in September."
