Man and child seriously injured in hit and run on housing estate
A man and child were left with serious injuries following a hit and run. North Wales Police issued an appeal for witnesses following the "fail to stop" collision on Hullah Lane, in Caia Park, Wrexham on Sunday.
Now, police have confirmed a man and a child were taken to hospital with serious injuries as a result of the collision. Officers are looking to trace a small van in connection with the collision.
A North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit statement said: "A man and a child have sustained serious injuries following a collision in Wrexham on Sunday, February 2nd. It is reported that the driver of a small white or silver van travelling along Hullah Lane, Wrexham, collided with two pedestrians at approximately 5.50pm.

"The driver of the van, which lost the passenger side wing mirror during the collision, did not stop after the collision. Emergency services attended which resulted in the two pedestrians being taken to hospital with serious injuries."
PC Scott Duncan of the Roads Crime Unit added: "I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision and who has not already spoken to police, to come forward. I am also appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area and saw a van matching the above description to contact us, and particularly anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage which might help with our investigations. Your help could be crucial in identifying the vehicle and those responsible.”
