Manchester City are beginning to line up potential replacements for star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne who could leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Reports are suggesting that the Belgian international may be off to the Saudi Pro League after already agreeing on personal terms with Al-Ittihad, who are now set to negotiate with Man City on a fee for the 33-year-old. But with their main creative outlet gone, City are already looking at the next best option.

According to TEAMtalk, they may join the race for Benfica star Joao Neves who has been heavily linked with rivals Manchester United. The Red Devils’ new sporting director Dan Ashworth has been tasked with selling midfielder Casemiro and Neves is believed to be one of his top targets with their £59m bid for the 19-year-old already having been rejected this week.

It's believed the Portuguese outfit has a release clause of £105m in the midfielder's contract which they are demanding in full, leaving many clubs out of the running but Man City do have the capabilities to swoop in if the fee for De Bruyne is enough to give them enough spending money this summer amid Financial Fair Play worries.

Elsewhere, Man City are reportedly considering signing Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin if current first-choice shot-stopper Ederson jumps ship to the Saudi Pro League.

Spanish outlet Bernabeu Digital claims that with the Brazilian 'on the verge' of signing for Al-Nassr, Pep Guardiola's side have added him to their shortlist of options having not forgotten his performance against them in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Arsenal have previously been linked with the Ukraine international who started all three matches at the 2024 Euros for his country in their group stage exit, and is said to be one star Madrid are open to selling this summer.
