Manchester City ace Jack Grealish and his girlfriend Sasha Attwood have shared the happy news that they are expecting their first child.

Revealing the news on Instagram, Grealish posted a loving photo with his hand on Attwood's baby bump, captioned: "Life's biggest blessing." Keeping in sync with her sweetheart, Attwood posted the same image on her account, writing: "Half of me , half of you - beyond blessed."

The pair, who first dated in their teen years at school in Solihull, have remained united throughout Grealish's career. Grealish began his professional journey at Aston Villa before making a big-money move to Manchester City in 2021.

Always by his side, Attwood has loyally supported him through all his football endeavours, reports the Mirror. While juggling her supportive relationship, Attwood also carves out a successful career for herself as a model, landing partnerships with big names such as L'Oreal, House of Fraser, Pretty Little Thing, and Boohoo.

She was beside Grealish, providing support during an injury-ridden season that led to him being omitted from England's Euro 2024 squad. Despite his surprise exclusion, Grealish capitalised on the time off to assist Attwood throughout her pregnancy, although the couple have yet to reveal the baby's due date.

While England have made it to the semi-finals, their attack has lacked some spark without Grealish in the squad. Ahead of the tournament, Gareth Southgate stood by his choice to leave Grealish out, explaining his reasoning.

"The fact is we've got some players who have been playing extremely well all season in the league and we just feel other players have had stronger seasons - particularly in the past six months or so," said Southgate.

"We saw some fantastic performances the other night which underlined some of that and in the attacking area of the pitch we're blessed with a lot of options and they're all slightly different.

"[James Maddison] and Jack would have provided us with something different as well and they've been tough calls. They're calls we've gone over and over and over as a group of staff to try to be fair and to try to use the right rationale.

"We back our decisions but we recognise we could have gone a different route. The boys are big characters, fabulous team-mates and great boys to work with. It's sad to have to deliver that news to them."
